Greetings and happy Sunday! It’s time for yet another Weekly Notes, however, there’s changes to them this week. I’ve decided to go ahead and go with the name Cliff’s Notes, but I’ll still use the hashtag of #WeeklyNotes on places like Mastodon since so many others use that one.
I’ve also changed up the title a bit. Instead of doing something like For The Week Of October 16th – 25th or whatever, I’m just going to do For The Week Ending October 25th, as you can see with today’s title.
Video Games
This week I’m going to start with video games. I’ve been playing a lot of Borderlands 4 for the past several weeks, since launch day to be exact, and I finally completed the story and made it to level 50, which is currently max level. The game is still fun, but I’m starting to get bored. Not so much with the game itself, but more because I know Outer Worlds 2 releases on Wednesday and I’m super excited about that.
I’ve been watching Gladd play a lot of Necesse lately and decided to grab it since it was only $7.49. What a great decision as that game is so much fun! I’ve already got about 30 hours into it and just started it earlier in the week.
Skylight – Two Weeks In…
Yesterday was the end of my second week at Skylight and let me tell you, I’m still absolutely loving it. I just feel at home and feel this is where I need and want to be. Processes are totally different here than they were at HSTPathways, and that’s a good thing. I’m currently not answering phones, and won’t be for a while. But really, I don’t know that we’ll ever be answering phones. It’ll be more making phone calls out to customers who really want/need a phone call or a video call to help them setup their Calendar.
The folks I work with are absolutely AMAZING! They keep me laughing at all times which is so different from how things were at HST. We’re constantly doing virtual co-working meetings via Google Meet where we just go into a Meet, hang out, chat and talk, laugh and cut up, but also get our work done. It’s actually something that I’ve been enjoying very much.
Blog Posts For The Week
Umm, well, about that. Yeah, I didn’t get any blog posts out this week unfortunately. I do have one more Redragon review to do, though oddly they sent me two more products that I’ll need to review. One of them is their Redragon Mini PC. Similar to my M4 Mac Mini, but of course it’s Windows based. It’ll be interesting to see what it’s like. The other item is another keyboard as is mostly what I review for them now days.
Every Day Life…
Not much to update here to be honest, as everything above kind of falls into this category in a lot of ways. The wife and I are heading to Dave’s Hot Chicken tomorrow for lunch. It’ll be our first time eating at a Dave’s Hot Chicken, and I’m super excited. So be ready for my thoughts on that in next weeks version of Cliff’s Notes.
Halloween is coming up Friday as we all know, and I’ll be doing my best to hand out candy to the kids that might show up. We had quite few last year so I’m hoping for the same this year as well. Again, I’ll update you all on that next week.
Another thing I’d like to try and do is get more folks over to Discord. While I am of course active on Mastodon as much as I can be, I really spend most of my time looking at Discord. The old AllThingsTech(ATT) Discord is still active and if you’d like join, you can do so here: ATT Discord. I’d love to have you join us there and just hang out and chat for a bit. We’re a small community but we’re a fun community. In fact, the next person who joins would be our 60th member. Will it be you?
For now, I guess that’s about it for this weeks version of Cliff’s Notes. Hopefully everyone likes the name change but the same flow of the post each time.
