How I Use AI On This Site

I use AI tools regularly in creating content for this site. I also think transparency about that matters, so here is exactly how I use AI and where I draw the line.

Writing And Drafting

I pick a topic, gather information on it, and use the tools within Hermes Agent to explore the subject and understand how everything works. Then I write a draft. From there, I run it through AI to polish and tighten it up, followed by another round of editing to make sure it sounds like me and not some generic AI voice. Nothing gets published the way it came out of the model. Every article on this site has been through my hands.

Research And Exploration

I use AI to explore topics I am writing about. If I am reviewing a tool, I ask AI to help me understand its features, test its limits, and find angles I might have missed. The final opinion and conclusions are mine.

Automation And Workflows

I use AI extensively for automation in both my day job and personal projects. Scheduling tasks, generating reports, managing data, posting to team channels. These are not AI writing my content. These are AI following instructions to handle repetitive work that would otherwise eat up hours of my week. The difference matters. I am not asking AI to be creative here. I am asking it to be reliable.

Image Generation

The mascot for the AI Tools section was created with AI image generation. So are some of the featured images and social media visuals you see alongside articles. I do not draw these by hand. I write the prompts, iterate on the results, and choose what fits.

Code Snippets

Some code examples in articles are written or refined with AI assistance. I test them before including them.

Attribution

I never claim AI-generated work as my own original creation. If an image was generated, I say so. If a draft started with AI, I rewrote it. I do not hide the role these tools play in my process.

What I Do Not Do

I do not publish AI output unedited. I do not use AI to generate content in someone else’s voice or style without disclosure. I do not use AI for sensitive or private information. I do not claim expertise I do not have.

Why Be Open About It

This site covers AI tools and what they can do. Pretending I do not use them would be dishonest and would undercut the whole point of the content. I use these tools because they make my work better and faster. I am upfront about it because that is the right thing to do.

If you have questions about any specific piece of content on this site, ask. I am happy to talk about the process.
